Abstractions

Patterns fascinate me. Recognising them in nature, creating them with intent or by surprise. Abstracting those patterns is endlessly challenging and exciting.

My first venture into working with unusual materials was to paint on a series of doors: the Doors of Perception. Discovering printmaking meant the possibilities for abstraction were stretched to infinity.
